Wilsey starring in two silent serials at Universal

Above are Wilsey and Louise Lorraine (1901 - 1981) in the lost/missing cliffhanger A FINAL RECKONING (Universal, 1928). Lorraine did other serials including THE JADE BOX (Universal, 1930) which starred Jack Perrin. She was also the leading lady in Bob Steele's first talkie, NEAR THE RAINBOW'S END (Tiffany, 1930).

Above is another still from the serial A FINAL RECKONING (Universal, 1928). Left to right are Louise Lorraine, Newton House and Wilsey. Newton House (1911 - 1987) was about sixteen years old when he worked in this cliffhanger. Universal had him doing other silent films and billed him as the "Champion Boy Rider". House was a competitor to another youthful range rider, Buzz Barton.

Above are Wilsey and Natalie Kingston (1905 - 1991) in a still from the lost/missing serial THE PIRATE OF PANAMA (Universal, 1929). Kingston also did heroine duty in TARZAN THE MIGHTY (Universal, 1928) and TARZAN THE TIGER (Universal, 1929), both of which starred Frank Merrill. Kingston was also one of the 1927 WAMPAS baby stars (sponsored by the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers).
