On the left and smiling proudly at her Father is Fred's daughter Brenda.  To the extreme right is Fred's wife Mary (Marietta in her George White Scandal Days as a dancer).  In the back of Mary in the buckskin jacket signing an autograph is movie villain Jack Elam.

On Saturday, August 18, 1988, the sixth Annual Golden Boots awards were held at the Warner Center, Marriott Hotel in Woodland Hills, California.  Fred Scott was receiving his Golden Boot Award for his contributions to the western film.  Singing cowboy Eddie Dean presented the award to Fred.

After Eddie Dean said a few words about Fred and his films, Fred proudly accepts his (heavy) Golden Boot award

Congratulations are in order as Fred Scott exits the stage with his award, followed by Eddie Dean.  Country-western singer Stuart Hamblen is shaking Fred's hand.  Note the Golden Boot in Fred's left hand.  Fred was 86 years old when he received this award. Singer Willie Nelson is in lower left corner of this picture.
