Ancel Cook was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma and lived in Southern California.  He did a variety of acting jobs, appearing in about 50 movies and over 500 commercials.  He met Eddie Dean and all of his other western heroes while doing spokesperson duties for the Black Angus restaurant chain.  Ancel also did commercials, and was in three recent movies, including BREAKDOWN with Kurt Russell.

The official Ancel Cook website is at: http://ancelcook.8m.com/

Ancel and I struck up an e-mail conversation back in the early days of The Old Corral ... and he was justifiably proud and happy to share his photo memories with Old Corral visitors.

Sad to report that Ancel passed away on January 31, 2001.  He loved the old Hollywood cowboys and the western film.
