1915 - 2009



Pamela Blake's film career lasted about 15 years, and in addition to about 10 B westerns, she did 4 cliffhangers - THE MYSTERIOUS MR. M (Universal, 1946), CHICK CARTER, DETECTIVE (Columbia, 1946), THE SEA HOUND (Columbia, 1947) and THE GHOST OF ZORRO (Republic, 1949).

Boyd Magers was a friend of Pamela Blake and provides the following info: "Pam was previously married to actor Malcom "Bud" McTaggart (1910-1949) who died in a swimming pool accident. She later married Mike Stokey of TV's PANTOMINE QUIZ fame.  Her son, Mike Stokey, was in demolitions in Viet Nam and transferred that knowledge to movies. He has worked for Spielberg and other movie companies."

Pamela Blake passed away at a Las Vegas, Nevada care facility on October 6, 2009 at age 94.

The above crop is from a lobby card from BILLY THE KID TRAPPED (PRC, 1942), and shows from left to right, Bud McTaggart, Al 'Fuzzy' St. John and Buster Crabbe. Malcolm 'Bud' McTaggart (1910-1949) was married and divorced from Pamela Blake/Adele Pearce. In the late 1940s, he did a name change to 'James Taggart' and in 1949, he died in a swimming pool accident.
